Socosani Logo

More than 100 years ago, a scholar set out on a horseback journey through the Yura Desert in Arequipa, Peru, in search of a virgin water source. Manuel Aurelio Vinelli found a lush valley that he named Socosani , due to the abundance of socos or reeds, and there he found the springs of natural mineral water, which flowed from the Chachani Volcano.

With the the natural mineral properties of Socosani water verified and certified by sending samples to French scientists, Vinelli created the first Peruvian natural mineral water bottling plant in the heart of the valley. Since that day, Socosani mineral water and its unique balance of properties is available to everyone.
