Let’s talk turkey. Soda, pop, coke, fizz, carbonated beverage, and any number of other colloquial terms for soft drinks have regional sway over how we talk about them. Fizzy drinks, fizzy juice, tonic, mineral, cool drink, sody or sodie, soda-pop (because why not combine the two), lots of other branded soda names like Faygo, and then thousands of entries of standard internet trolling that they should probably delete. You can also tell which people eat far too much fast food by calling it a drink or even a cup size like "large drink" because they fill it with their choice of flavor at the fountain.
