Bomb Pop beverages for your summer festivities

Sep 16, 2024

Vintage flavors mixed up in a beverage. At 65 years, the cherry, lime, and blue raspberry flavors of the Bomb Pop have withstood the test of time and proliferated into beverages of all kinds. The American nationalism color scheme and fun branding also adds to its clearly winning marketability.

Wait, Rocket Pop or Bomb Pop? The original is Bomb Pop. First used for the Bomb Pop popsicle in April of 1959, and trademarked in 1971. To avoid trademark infringement many companies make a Rocket Pop flavor, but we all know what it’s really trying to be. The word “POP” is also explicitly disclaimed in the Bomb Pop trademark (apart from their word mark styling), likely because it’s not going to be approved due to its wide use in the beverage industry — soda, pop, coke.

The origonal Bomb Pop trademark (you can order some directly from their website).

Amusingly, AI has no idea what a bomb pop is, or is pretending not to know to avoid trademark infringement. But like this mashup of a popsicle picture, unless you can pour your own three layer poolside beverage, you’re not going to be able to acheive the same flavor progression that makes the three flavor Bomb Pop a delight. That hasn’t stopped lots of people from trying and doing a darn good job of creating amazingly close flavors all combined in a can. From sodas to energy drinks, and sports drinks, rocket pop is a flavor that’s going to be around for a long time for your July 4th celebrations of independence and summertime bliss.
