And Zero was probably too basic for a lot of the worlds population to understand, so Zero Sugar it is. Despite the Zero sugar statement, it still has a significant sweetness from Aspartame and Acesulfame Potassium by their US ingredient label and website statement that it "Contains permitted sweeteners sucralose and acesulfame-k".

Through in-house innovation and extensive market testing, the no-calorie fan favorite delivers an even better-tasting recipe and goes by the name Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. The new and improved recipe tastes like a Coke, but with zero sugar and zero calories. Coke Zero Sugar hit store shelves nationwide in August 2017.
